As a result of SeSAFE training, outcomes include;
- Improved safety performance and culture in the fishing and aquaculture industry
- Greater knowledge by fishers and aquaculture workers of safe working practices, to complement at-sea training and drills and other requirements of a Safety Management System (SMS)
- Greater awareness and understanding of company/boat owner policy with regard to workplace health and safety, including safe working practices
- Ability to validate that fishers and aquaculture workers are aware of company/boat owner policy and safe working practices, and have demonstrated a desired level of knowledge and comprehension
- Alignment of safety training with the needs of the Safety Management System (SMS)
